Having said that, run REGEDIT and look under CurrentUser\Software\ or LocalMachine\Software for any references to Google or Chrome. Before you delete, consider using File > Export to save a copy, or even create a quick System Restore checkpoint so you can revert back easily if a reg change causes any unforeseen issues.
Oct 18, 2019 · Before removing Chrome, you must also make sure that Chrome Sync for apps and extensions are disabled. That prevents the browser from automatically re-syncing the problematic add-ons after I uninstalled Google chrome by deleting it from the Applications folder and I also deleted the associated profile data from ~/Library/Application Support/Google/Chrome. But I have failed to remove all the chrome apps icons from launchpad. I would greatly appreciate it if you can point to the location where google is keeping those app launchers.
